  7. Gauge 5 (127mm) - Standard Class 4MT Locomotive
    $12,999.00

Our most anticipated live steam locomotive

Introduced in the 1950s the class 4 tank was used primarily on freight and suburban lines until they were removed from service in the late 1960s due to the introduction of diesel and electric models. Popularity certainly hasn't dwindled for this loco with a weight of 88 ton and a top speed of 75mph during its hay day. It is no wonder so many model collectors and train enthusiasts love the 4MT.

    Design & construction

This locomotive is well suited to the live steamer. It is powerful and can tow a number of adults (10-12) and because of it's shorter cab the seating position is closer to the controls which makes for easy operation and transport to and from your local club or track. 5" gauge offers a brilliant level of detail and is both powerful and practical.

This is a strictly limited edition locomotive and when the production run is completed they are not produced again. You will be very hard pressed to find a model like this ever again
